When you show off one of these pretty bead bracelets on your wrist, not only are you celebrating your individualism with a unique piece of jewelry, you are following a centuries old tradition. For well over two thousand years, bead bracelets and charm bracelets have been worn by people ranging from superstitious tribesmen to royalty, both Hollywood and genuine. Each bead bracelet is a reminder of history and tradition.

Bead bracelets have been worn since well before the rise of the modern ages. More than two millennia ago, ancient soldiers and shamans wore these bracelets as mighty talismans to ward off evil spirits and grant the wearer strength in battle. Ancient beads, or charms, were worn both on necklaces and on bracelets. The beads were made of simple materials like stones and wood.

Throughout the centuries, bead bracelets went through an upgrade when gemstones and precious metals like gold and silver were engaged to craft beads. Although not in the form of bracelets, beads were even used as money by some Native American tribes. Manhattan Island was purchased and partially paid for using beads.

Queen Victoria of Great Britain was very fond of bead and charm bracelets and gave them as gifts, prompting their extraordinary popularity throughout Europe. US soldiers returning home from the Second World War brought beads, charms, and small trinkets back home as souvenirs of their time spent in various European countries, many of them unique to the particular country or region where they were stationed. The 1920s and 1930s also saw platinum and diamond beads and charms gain widespread popularity. Hollywood actresses from the Golden Age of Cinema helped to popularize bead bracelets in the 1950s and 1960s. Glamorous screen icons like Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Crawford, resplendent and otherworldly, would flash their bracelets on the silver screen, increasing their popularity with women everywhere.

So every time you wear your bead bracelet, remember that it’s not purely just a reflection of you, your personality, and your interests, it continues a ritual that men women have been following for centuries, using beads during special times in their lives. These bead bracelets have a proud legacy. When creating your bead bracelet, commemorate your memories and legacy, with anenduring homage to the past.

Gold Buyers – Online VS Off

Online gold buyers have become a very popular choice for many people these days that are interested in selling gold jewelry for some extra cash. But are they the best choice for selling your gold jewelry? I asked that question myself and started doing a little research on the business of buying and selling gold and here is what I found.

Shops that work in the world of buying unwanted gold items have been around for many years now. Do you remember seeing commercials on television that had a grumpy looking old man that said he could offer you money for your jewelry?

The reality is that this type of business really is profitable for both parties. The consumer and the gold buyer usually both make a profit during this process. The gold is melted at a refinery and everyone makes a some cash.

The local gold buyers today have to compete with the new online gold buyers. And online gold buyers can often offer more cash for your gold. And the reason why may surprise you. They are actually refineries. This simple fact allows you to maximize your profits because you can dodge the middle man in the transaction. Believe me. This is the way to go.

If you go with an online gold buyer as your choice for selling gold jewelry, there is no doubt that you need to keep yourself safe from getting ripped off. It is usually referred to as the cash for gold scam. So how do you protect yourself?

It’s easy. Just check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints. The fact is, if you can find no trace of that company in the BBB database, I would suggest that you shop around.

This really goes against common sense, but there should be issues with this company at the BBB. The fact is that most people get their feelings hurt when the gold buyer does not offer as much as the customer thinks they should.

Another reason is the fact that most people have no idea of the real value of their gold. Since most gold jewelry is made of 14K gold, the payouts from any gold buyer just do not match the high expectations of the typical consumer.

There are lots of selling gold jewelry options for most of us. But finding a good online gold buyer that you can trust is typically your best bet.

Bead Bracelets – The Perfect Gift

bead braceletsBeads and bead bracelets are the absolute gift for someone you care about. They’re inexpensive, trendy, and fashionable. Also they’ve been around for centuries now, and they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. So why would you get your cherished one flowers? Flowers are already dead, that seems a bit morbid. Oh and chocolate can melt by the way. At least get her something she’ll have for a while, and not just some bowel movements later on.

Flowers are dead when you give them to her, or their on their way to being dead. How is that romantic? To me that seems a tad bit on the morbid side, something that one of my beloved authors Edgar Allan Poe would relish in. Look at the lovely red rose on its last dying gasp, than it wilts, loses its color, and dies in your vase. Not only that, but every rose has its thorns, and I for one don’t like being pricked.

Chocolate is awesome, and science has linked the coco bean, and our reaction to it to the same experience as sex. Who doesn’t love to feel like they’re having sex? Women eat up chocolate like it was the last thing on earth also, maybe that says something? But still yet chocolate is only a alternate gift. Not only that but women, even though they love chocolate, they also stress about getting fat a-lot more than men do, and chocolate can make you fat. So on that note, I’ll skip the chocolate (probably eat it myself if you don’t mind) and give her something else.

What could I by any chance get her that will last, not make her fat, and not seem more morbid than beautiful? Beads and bead bracelets are a good beginning. They look classy, really, and they come in all shapes, sizes and colors! They’re far more exciting than simple chocolate, will get the exact same acknowledgement as flowers do, and are far less expensive so I don’t eat up my wallet to get her something nice.

My mind is made up, and it seems that the clear victor in this contest is beads, and bead bracelets. I mean why would you still conform to the norm? Seriously be a little rebel, we all have on in us (devilish smiley face) and no those horns are not there for looks, they’re there to hold up my halo. I’m going to the store now, getting some bead bracelets (for later when I say something stupid and regret it horribly) so why are you still reading this? Go!

What Is The Global Demand For Gold?

Most nations are interested in the yellow metal, but some countries seem to invest more money in these goods than others. The studies that have been recently made show that various socio-economic and cultural factors lie at the core of these gold demand differences. In addition, depending on the demographic evolution, some countries may acquire bigger quantities of precious metal than others.

East Asia, India and the Middle East are the countries that currently register the biggest percentage of gold demand in the entire world. Each year, 70% of world’s gold consumption is headed to these nations, whereas half of the world’s demand is sent to Greater China (China and Hong Kong), U.S., Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Asian cultures and religions put a lot of stress on gold possessions; many of their rites are performed with the use of gold jewellery and other objects made out of precious metal which is why the gold demand is bigger in these areas.

Countries have a different behavior in relation to the type of gold products they use, as well. Some nations prefer to purchase gold bullions or coins, whereas others are more interested in jewelry made out of the yellow metal. The United States is one of the biggest buyers of gold materials with the 55 billion dollars they registered in 2009. India, on the other hand is the country that usually purchases gold bullion.

Consumers tend to behave differently during periods of economic turmoil; therefore, many changes have been registered in the global demand for gold ever since European leaders have officially announced that people are facing a financial crisis. The most noticeable change is the fact that countries are no longer willing to purchase jewelry, but gold bars and coins. They prefer these types of goods because they are easier to sell once the crisis is over and, thus, buyers will greatly improve their income.

People can easily purchase various forms of gold thanks to the development of the e-commerce. Depending on investors’ preferences, consumers can purchase physical precious metal, bonds or EFTs on markets like Zurich, London, Paris and New York. It is, however, recommended that you resort to various forms of investments as you can win more money in less time.

Choose to spend your money wisely and the economic recession will turn out to be a profitable period for you. With little money, you can buy small gold bars and ensure the financial stability of your family.

Skilled investors started to buy gold with small bars and coins.
