A necklace is a piece of jewelry used principally for adornment and is worn on the neck. Its use is very common nowadays. It is chiefly worn by women but because of time and perhaps of trend it is now being widely used by men. The use of necklace has been known for many years. At around 30,000 BC, animal bones and teeth, clams and stones were found and were hung using a thread similar to the idea of today’s necklaces. One peculiar reason why people use necklace is for personal adornment. Other women use such jewelry in order to make known their level of wealth in the community. Still others use the necklace for religious implication by using images of saints and crosses. It is also used in order to make a distinction among different cultures during the older times.

* Your outfit and the occasion that you are attending to will also matter in choosing a necklace to wear.

It is good to remember that a necklace has a very great impact to your overall look. It can even draw attention and can make you look stunning. As a whole, it can either make or break your appearance. From stones and shells to diamonds and pearls, the necklace as a fashion accessory will likely to remain as it is that can constantly evolve to stay trendy and versatile. When worn properly, a necklace can make an ordinary appearance look stylish and elegant.
